This Privacy Notice explains how MerPro GmbH ("MerPro", "we", "us") processes personal data when you visit zeroprene.com, contact us, or order a Zeroprene wetsuit. We process your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and applicable national data protection laws.

2. Categories of data we process

  • Identity and contact data (name, email, postal address, phone) you submit via forms or email.
  • Order and measurement data needed to produce a made-to-measure wetsuit.
  • Payment data processed by our payment service providers (we do not store full card details).
  • Technical data (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) automatically logged by our server.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Replying to enquiries — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering you).
  • Fulfilling orders, production and delivery — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
  • Invoicing, accounting and tax retention — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation).
  • Operating and securing the website (server logs) — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in IT security).
  • Optional cookies or analytics — only with your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

4. Cookies and tracking

zeroprene.com uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site. Analytics, marketing or third-party tracking cookies are set exclusively after you give explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

5. Recipients and processors

We share personal data only with carefully selected processors acting on our instructions under Art. 28 GDPR — in particular our hosting provider, email provider, payment service providers, logistics partners, and our tax advisor. We do not sell your data.

6. International transfers

Personal data is processed within the EU/EEA whenever possible. Where a transfer to a third country takes place, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR, together with appropriate supplementary measures.

7. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, or as required by statutory retention periods (e.g. 6 or 10 years under German commercial and tax law). Server logs are deleted or anonymised on a rolling basis.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. To exercise your rights, contact mail@zeroprene.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
